About

Over 20 years experience in international digital media and entertainment companies, broadcasters and publishers including the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), News Corp Australia, Deutsche Welle in Germany, Special Broadcasting Services (SBS), Network Ten and Foxtel.

In 2020, I am increasing my skills as a visual thinker, storyteller and problem solving by developing my sketchnoting abilities. I am looking to work with clever, creative and collaborative colleagues.

I have experience managing and producing digital content for multiplatform broacasting projects. Firstly with Amrap, focusing on contemporary Australian music, then with my four years in Germany working with Deutsche Welle and EuraNet.

I was a producer and reporter for Amrap, the Australian Music Radio Airplay Project. In that role I created and published multiplatform content including radio features and artist profiles on Australian musicians and music scenes.

I also facilitated the planning, distribution and promotion of digital radio and online content to community radio stations and an international audience.

From 2007 to 2010 I was making creative radio and multimedia content focusing on arts and culture as a radio and online producer and reporter for Deutsche Welle in Germany where I commissioned and produced weekly radio programs, full-length interviews, background features and other digital media elements.

I have also been producer and presenter of the European Radio Network’s (EuraNet) weekly Arts and Culture program called ‘Network Europe Extra’. Euranet is a partnership of 16 international broadcasters which produces in-depth background features from a pan-European perspective on cultural, art, social, economic and political events across Europe.

I have experience in creating multimedia content for local and international audiences.

Whilst I was working at the National Film and Sound Archives I devised a project exclusively called ‘10 Minutes of Passion’ which provided new digital content for community radio stations around Australia. I had to scope the project and negotiated with key funding bodies, broadcasters and internal stakeholders to promote, deliver and manage budgets for the project to deliver it within deadline.

I worked at Foxtel in the Digital Media department’s IPTV service as a materials and content co-ordinator for its On Demand projects scheduling content for multi-channel and on-demand platform delivery.

I worked with in-house production teams as well as programming and promo teams to ensure all content was onsite, ingested, edited and ready for broadcast or digital distribution for agreed timeframes.

This is where I post topics that interest me personally and professionally. I publish or republish previews and reviews I write about contemporary arts and culture for organisations as well as multiplatform storytelling, transmedia and digital media.

My goal for 2020 was to increase my sketchnoting skills in order to facilitate better problem solving and collaboration at work and help explain complex problems or systems simpler to be more effective in my product management work and my teaching.
