Precinct 13: interactive multiplatform detective experience

Precinct 13 is an interactive multiplatform experience integrated across on-air, online and social platforms, giving users the chance to play ‘detective’ and solve a murder.

Precinct 13 was launched in March 2013 and the video below highlights the key case study results of the interactive project by Envelop Entertainment for 13th Street Australia at the conclusion of the pilot.

Background to Precinct 13 execution

Promos will play across the 4 NBC Universal channels inviting potential detectives to visit Precinct 13, a microsite attached to the 13th Street website.

Once registered, players will enter the precinct where they will discover a murder has been committed. They will then be drawn into an interactive world where they can investigate the crime scene, examine the body, conduct forensic tests, and interrogate suspects.

New clues and new suspects will be revealed over a 3 week period.

Once players think they know who the murderer is, how the crime was committed and why, they can make their submission. The murderer will finally be revealed in a 10 minute program broadcast on 13thStreet.
